I really don’t have an idea on how huge Twilight is. I’ve once seen the book, read the back cover (What’s it called?) and it caught my attention.

‘There are three things i was absolutely positive:

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, There’s a part of him – and i don’t know how dominant that part might be – that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I’m unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.’

oh! The narrator is in love with a bloodsucker!

Okay, i liked it. But did nothing with it.

Weeks passed. I was listening to a weekly countdown on the radio. There is a segment there, where they’ll play two new songs and the listeners will vote on what song would be the ‘pick of the week’.

The first song is Leona Lewis’ Forgive Me. And the second one, a Paramore song (they’re song That’s What You Get is so popular that time). What surprised me is when the jockey said that ‘Leona Lewis is having a hard time because she’s not only against Paramore, but ‘TWILIGHT’  fans as well. Yup, the song is Decode! Obviously, it won the pick of the week challenge. And right there, i learned that the book that caught my attention weeks ago, is having it’s film adaptation. I also knew that it was a huge bestselling series with four books being published.

I watched the film. It’s great that i can’t help to send my friends some quoted movie lines from Twilight. And then i discovered that another friend back in high school is also a huge fan! We’re always sharing trivia until i end up calling her ‘Bella’, and I’m ‘Edward’. Courtesy of my Isabella Marie Swan, i finally read the book! And it was better although my favorite forest scene is not there, instead it happened in the car.When i viewed the movie again, i realized that the thrill is really meant to be in the book and not in a movie. I also don’t like Robert Pattinson and i hate it when he’s on my mind whenever I’m reading the book.

As of this moment, I’ve read New Moon (a gift from a friend) and Eclipse(again, courtesy of my friend Bella.)

I really like the idea of a human falling dangerously (literally!) inlove with a so-known bad creature.

NEW MOON
A great sequel! I heard about the original sequel called ‘Forever Dawn’. Bella said it’s just like ‘breaking dawn’. Maybe it’s like BD without the New Moon and Eclipse.
Back on NM, it’s good, yes, but i don’t like it as much as twilight.

ECLIPSE
wow! Damn, it’s so…well, there’s no exact word to describe on how good it was. A lot of things happened here, Jacob remained as a major characted and he’s sometimes irritating. Bella is a flirt, that’s the best way to describe her here. The character’s roots we’re told here in details. From how Rosalie and Jasper became a vampire to why Jacob’s descendants transformed into wolves. I also like it’s ending, the story could stop here.

BREAKING DAWN
A lot of things will happen! Bella and Edward will walk down the aisle. Bella getting pregnant and transform into a strong immortal. And Jacob finally found his soul mate… Bella’s daughter!

MIDNIGHT SUN
A retelling of Twilight in Edward’s perspective. It’s exciting knowing that Edward could hear other people thoughts, and he’ll share it with us! This isn’t finished yet, and it’s potential to be published is still in jeopardy.. Oh please Stephenie!

Stephenie Meyer is planning on expanding the ‘TWILIGHT SAGA’ series in the perspective of either Renesmee or Leah Clearwater. Good luck!

I’ve been waiting for about a year for this movie to come out. The release date has been move a couple of times. Until finally, 17again hit the theaters in the Philippines, 2 days ahead in the United States. I waited for days to pass, so that the moviegoers will decrease. I hate falling in line to buy movie tickets, and i hate mobbed cinemas! 5 days after the release date, i decided that it’s now time. I checked the website of the sm mall that im going to, just to be sure. Got’cha! It’s there! So the plan will pull through.

But because i’m always ready for this kind of situations.. I had 3 more options. But what kind of jinx i’m wearing that day? The Uninvited (A Tale of Two Sisters) was not there. Friday the 13th just pulled out and so as Dragonball Evolution.

What the fuck?
Right now, i’m planning to watch a local comedy movie, i know it won’t happen again this time. But, do i have to choose a local movie just to be sure that it’s there? Alright, for laughing trips i can. But how about my favorite? Horror, sci-fi.. Oh no, I’d rather stick pins in my eyes than to see those ‘uncredited’ or ‘loosely inspired by Hollywood’ local movies.

I know, this predicament won’t happen on New Moon as Twilight stayed on cinemas for 5weeks i think, or more. It pulled out because of the film festival.

But please, don’t let this happen for Final Destination: Death Trip!

FINAL DESTINATION IV: DEATH TRIP

Well, this is about my friend (and as of this writing, she don’t know that I’m writing a blog about her). I just find it amusing..oh..interesting would be better. I know she won’t sue me for this, but it’ll give me thousands of hate messages, or worse, punches. God, no!
OK, let’s proceed.
This is about her… -let’s borrow our favorite Taylor Swift song- ‘Romeo’, oh ‘yes?’ no.. I mean ‘Love Story’.. (if we don’t share the same humor, maybe you’re exasperated with me)
we often hear the stories of two different person who fell in love with each other.

That’s very common, or should i say, ‘the common’ plot of Philippine dramas.

A human who’s in love with a mermaid, a wolf, or the overused one..superhero. Anyway, my friend have not gone that far, yet. But the plot of her ‘Love Story’ is being in love with her exactly opposite self. And worse, they don’t share the same religion. OK, let’s introduce the main characters. My friend, let’s call her -since i’ve started it- Juliet, and his boyfriend(not official, though), Romeo. Silly! Do u expect Jack? Or maybe Edward Cullen? That’s another story.
My friend is a ‘my-dad-will-get-mad-at-me’ kind of girl, studious(ow?), confident (sometimes OVER), sensible, ahm..to sum it up best and minus the confidence..she’s the ‘tatandang dalaga’ type.
While Romeo..well physically: long-haired, blue-eyed(contacts of course! He’s no Zac Efron!), the emoish guy with an irritating swagger. And a Born-Again Christian. Well, Juliet is Catholic, to make the situation worse, a leader of a religous youth group. They love each other dearly (just like your favorite drama). Juliet’s family don’t know, if they do, then I’ll play the lines..

And my daddy said,

Curtain call!
Scene 1: MEETING

‘I close my eyes
And the flashback starts
I’m standing there
On a balcony in summer air’

I don’t really know how their first meeting gone. I just found my phone, full of ‘friend-i’m-inlove-help-me’ kind of messages. The kinds that would make you roll on the floor and laugh your fucking ass out.

Scene 2: I LOVE YOU TOO ROMEO!

It went fast that this ‘no-man-deserves-me’ friend of mine had the four-word best response to Romeo’s i love you. But after all that has been said, they are still not a couple. It’s getting absurd, isn’t it? What the hell?

SCENE 3: SNEAKING OUT

‘So i sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet
‘Cause we’re dead if they knew’

One time, we decided to meet up (originally, for her to help me get back my book from a former classmate..NEW MOON. But that’s another story.)
We end up visiting another former classmate who happens to be her first love. As the title suggest, she originally planned to sneak out to meet Romeo. And i find myself with..oh he has no name yet.. Ahm.. With Danzen, chaperoning her in her ‘date’. She’s really insane! I knew it from day one but the best proof happened that day when she literally pushes us away when she got the message that Romeo is on their meeting place already. Yup, poor Juliet, she came earlier (about an hour early) but still late, she arrived at 2pm from the 1pm plan.
Danzen and i pretended to go away, but stalked her all the way ’til she reach the ‘garden’. Busted! I finally saw Romeo, he’s indescribable so i let Danzen to describe him for me. His description is what was written earlier. But for more infos, a description i can’t deny is that he’s sooo small. I’ll literally tower him. But Juliet is petite too, the only characteristic they share.

Scene 4: MAKE OVER

After my unfavorable comments, she decided to get her poor man a make over. She’s changing him to someone that she’ll love! And don’t be surprise if he’ll be converted into Catholic soon. That could be the best description of selfishness, don’t you agree?
I found these things amusing though, her tongue-in-cheek remarks, Romeo’s messages that was forwarded to me (i even made a folder, and it contains 102 messages thus far) and their fights.. Fights which always begin with her obnoxious messages, the climax- his ‘i’m-sorry-I’m-not-perfect’ reply, and ends with her conscience hurting her ears that will lead her to say the only accepted apology.. I love you Romeo.

Flashback starts when i saw this starlet named Bangs Garcia. It’s her moment of ‘thank yous’ on her birthday celebration in a variety show. She’s thanking someone for the ‘ADVICES that was given to her. If i remember my elementary English class right, there is no plural form for word ‘advice’ and we rather use ‘PIECES OF ADVICE’.

Another celebrity English boo-boos, is the labeled ‘PRIDE OF THE PHILIPPINES’ Charice Pempengco. Well, think again. After earning a sea of American people’s praises, standing ovation and Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah guesting because of her constant at the top of her lungs ‘scream’ (well, that’s another shut-your-fucking-mouth moment, we’ll talk about it some other time), Whitney Houston impersonation and the crowd favorite’s Mariah Carey meets Rachelle Ann Go belts. Isn’t it disappointing to hear her promote her ‘FIRST solo DEBUT album? You heard it right mate! I wonder if she’ll have her SECOND DEBUT ALBUM. We’ll wait for that! And i mean wait, not to buy it though (I’d rather listen to Vanessa Hudgens) but to know if it’s possible to have a second debut album.  And i am telling you..That would go down the history!

Next thing, i hate to say this. But i should be fair, this is old though, yesteryear (yes! That old).
It happened during a ‘MANO PO’ movie presscon and Ms. Angel Locsin discussed about her so-called ‘rule’. Rule? Uh-oh. Not the kind of rule that we shouldn’t break, she means ‘the character that she portray’ in the said movie. Rule! You’re breaking an English language ‘rule’ Mrs. Manzano!

Another one is from someone i don’t remember. But her mortal mistake I’ll never forget. It is when she cited that the cause of her break-up with a fellow actor is ‘UNreconcilable’ differences. If your statement is not UNreplaceable (Jesus, you’re the cause of my blog’s redundancy), it won’t be bad if you’ll know that there is an existing word called ‘irreconcilable’. Now you know, thanks to me.

Next is Nadia Montenegro… promoting her movie that will be air on the ‘TWENTY TWOOTH OF NOVEMBER’… HAHA. Are you serious?

Do you think that English language errors are the only reason why our favorite Filipino celebrities should sew their mouths shut? You think wrong!

How about Keanna Reeves’ acronym for ‘kulang sa pansin’?

Bahay ni kuya is shaking because of her infamous fight with a fellow housemate. Everyone is shaking on their boots but burst into an im-watching-in-a-comedy-bar laugh.

LOL… Mitch (the girl in the other corner of the ring, who will literally knock out Ms.Reeves if this was a boxing match) is a fat woman. But she’s no my favorite fried chicken. She’s another kind of  meat that i won’t tell. OMG, you’re not thinking pork, do you?

There is this chain message and if this is true, probably this is our best cocksucker. Oh, i mean.. Oh, forget it!

In all fairness, she did not take the question too literal, if she does.. She might have answered the ‘HOW’ and it looks like she answered a ‘WHERE’ question. Weather you’re wrong or right.. You’re still so wrong Ms.Rivera. But may i say.. Good luck on the remake of the remake of Darna. I hope it won’t suffer the same fate as tadyang.

Save The Last Dance For Me

After ONLY YOU’s success.. Can we expect for the pinoy versions of ‘MEMORIES OF BALI’ and ‘SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME’?

As of this writing, 2 episodes of Only You has been aired. And base on those said episodes, undeniably, it’s quite a success.

Well, my favorite Korean dramas are Memories of Bali and Save the Last Dance.. Of course, i don’t want them to be ruined by our version but i am curious on how they are going to do it.

They are not the will-be-remake type of Korean series. If you’ll get to notice, all remakes has this comedy flavor (My Girl, Only You, Lover’s in Paris, Meteor Garden).MOB and STLDFM are both heavy dramas. ABS-CBN is really great on putting up an original drama series but i guess it won’t hurt to try a koreanovela remake. There are speculations that STLDFM remake is possible, and that Kristine Hermosa (who turned down the mexicanovela remake of ‘RUBI: Ang bidang kontrabida’) and Jericho Rosales will take Sandy and Francis’/Adriane’s part.

As of Memories of Bali.. Who do you think would be the best Erika, Paulo, Ryan and Nina?

I think Angel Locsin will be great for Erika. But she has this huge project line-up (Buhay ng Buhay ko, Maria Mercedes and the rumored El Cuerpo del Deseo).

Anne Curtis? Pwede!
Bea Alonzo? With her combined innocent yet glamorous looks.. I bet. I mean, Erika isn’t glamorous but she should have this quality to attract the two leading guys. Maybe it’s time for Rafael Rosell to shine and they could give him Paulo’s part. But i think, he’s better with Ryan’s. So, who’s Paulo? Childish, playboy, rude, snob.. If Dennis Trillo could go back on ABS, He’s my Paulo.

I’m kind of new with this thing. Although i’ve wrote blogs before through my multiply. There is this one person who influenced me to do this, and he don’t even know it. His name is Chico Garcia (chicogarcia.wordpress.com). He is so amazing, so intelligent and he was born to be idolized. I’ve been looking  up to this man since the day that i heard him talking on the radio, he’s a jockey by the way. The smartest one, the most sensible male broadcaster in the Philippines… Chico Garcia.
